Sorry I haven't posted here in awhile. I've been posting on Facebook for family and friends. Texting another family group chat. The latest news is mom will be discharged TOMORROW MORNING and transported via ambulance to Encompass Rehab Hospital on McCallie. We can never express our gratitude for the constant shower of prayers we have felt over the last week. We love our church family!

Mid-day update on Mom (Betty Gail)

Wow. Prayer, right? Speech therapy came by today as they wanted to examine her one more time before deciding on putting the tube in her nose for certain meds/nutrition. Mom woke up, again! She fed herself applesauce and some crackers. When asked to say, "Ahhhh..." she said it. When asked if she wanted more of something, she said, "no." She has said dad's name! She slowly told him, "I love you." Physical therapy has also visited and said she will need 10-14 days of PT once back home. They encouraged her to get out of bed and just stand. She did with their help! She still has too many tubes to do much walking. However, she ASKED them if she could use the bathroom?! She did! They've ordered her lunch, so no tube going in the nose. Jack’s oxygen is much better, there is still some fluid in his lungs but not as much. Praying tomorrow he will be out of NICU and with his Mommy🙏🙏
